GACC launches new website
The Gatwick Area Conservation Campaign (GACC) seeks to protect and improve the environment in the area affected by Gatwick Airport’s operations with particular regard to noise, congestion, air quality and light pollution.
The group also seeks to diminish any wider environmental impact of the operations of the airport, and the activities it facilitates, including climate change impacts.
GACC has been working with national community groups challenging Night Flights at all our UK airports. The challenge is ramping up with the publication of the first stage of the Department of Transport’s consultation on Night Flights (to learn more please refer to GACC Newsletter 122).
A national petition has now been launched in conjunction with the Aviation Communities Forum asking Night Flights to be banned. Please connect to and sign the petition here.
For more information visit the GACC website.
