Planning for a May Village Fair underway in Buckland
Buckland villagers are planning this year’s traditional village fair to be held during the afternoon of Bank Holiday Friday 8th May 2020 and are hoping you will volunteer to help:
We are looking for volunteers to help with serving refreshments for an hour during the afternoon so you too will be able to enjoy the Fair! We also require cakes, tray bakes or whole cakes, that can be cut and served during the afternoon. It would be great to know the type of cake in advance and if anyone has a good vegan recipe and will volunteer to bake it for the Fair, we would be grateful.
Please could you take extra cuttings, divide perennials, grow extra seedlings, flowers, tomatoes vegetables and herbs. Please label all plants with name and colour. When tidying sheds any old tools, terracotta pots or garden ornaments will be gratefully received.
Tombola prizes – please start collecting drinks bottles (of all shapes and sizes!)
Children’s Nearly New stall.
Please collect any unwanted gifts and nearly new clothes, toys and books. Please email Cat Martin (or call Cat on 07710 498 591) to pledge your support.
More information (including contact details) for each of the stalls will be published in the March issue of the Parish Magazine. If, in the meantime, you would like to get involved do contact Debbie Jones to offer your help and make sure you keep the 8th May 2020 free in your diary. Click here to contact Debbie.February 6, 2020
