Shell Buckland – Licence Application and Updated Planning Application

Planning – Last Autumn Shell UK Retail has submitted a planning application to Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) seeking permission to demolish the existing store at Buckland Shell garage and replace it with a larger store (suitable to attract Waitrose as a tenant). On Thursday 18th April 2019 Shell submitted revised plans and MVDC has launched a public consultation period that will run until 2nd May 2019. Licensing – Shell recently submitted an application for a new premises licence for the proposed new retail store – click application, indicative store plan, current licence and guidance to download additional information.

Should you wish to make a personal representation, the licensing team at MVDC emphasise (on the MVDC website) that points raised can only be taken into consideration if they are consistent with the Licensing Objectives listed below:
•             the prevention of crime and disorder
•             public safety
•             the prevention of public nuisance
•             the protection of children from harm
