‘THE SHOPPA’ Pilot shopping community transport service

Mole Valley Community Transport (MVCT) launches new pilot ‘Shoppa’ service on Monday 2nd October 2017 for six month trial period.

This is a door-to-door service, which incurs a small, subsidised fare of £3.00 each way, and the drivers will carry any heavy bags to the door, with a smile!

This new pilot also aims at encouraging social inclusion; residents will be able to travel with other like-minded people and enjoy a chat with other passengers on the journey.  Due to vehicle licencing requirements, all passengers need to be members of the Dial a Ride service beforehand, and the current membership fee is £22.00 annually, which is less than 50p a week.  Membership will give access to the ‘Shoppa’ service, Dial a Ride and other services, such as excursions, which will be available shortly.  To apply for membership click Dial a Ride.

Further details of other Community Transport Schemes can be seen on our website here.
